People often assume I always knew I would become an esthetician. The truth is, I simply knew I was fascinated by how people felt after being cared for.
More than 25 years ago, I attended Atelier Esthetique on Park Avenue in New York City and began my career in skincare. At the time, I was focused on learning the technical side of the industry, skin physiology, treatments, ingredients, and techniques. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that the most meaningful transformations weren’t happening on the surface.
Over the years, I noticed a pattern. Clients would arrive carrying stress, tension, exhaustion, and the weight of their lives in their faces. By the end of a treatment, their skin looked beautiful, but something else had shifted too. Their shoulders softened. Their breathing slowed. Their eyes looked brighter. They seemed more like themselves.
That realization changed everything.
My work gradually evolved beyond traditional skincare into what is now known as The Ianelli Method™ , a blend of facial sculpting, lymphatic work, restorative touch, and a nervous-system-led approach to beauty. Today, my clients come not only for healthier skin, but for the feeling of being restored, supported, and deeply cared for.
My journey has taken me from New York, Palm Beach , Connecticut, and eventually to North Carolina, where I built a thriving private practice while raising two young boys as a newly divorced mother. Looking back, every challenge, reinvention, and leap of faith helped shape the work I offer today.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this, beauty is not something we force. It’s something we uncover when we create the conditions for the body to soften, heal, and return to balance. And after all these years, I still feel honored every time someone trusts me with that process.
