Why I Don’t Take Before-and-After Photos

One of the most common questions I receive is whether I take before-and-after photos of my clients. The answer is no.

Not because results don’t matter, but because I believe transformation is about so much more than what a camera can capture.

Of course, I love seeing healthier skin, improved tone, less puffiness, and a more sculpted appearance. But some of the most meaningful changes happen in ways that aren’t always visible in a photograph.

A client may leave looking refreshed, but what I notice most is how they feel. Their breathing is slower. Their jaw is softer. Their eyes look brighter. They seem more connected to themselves.

In a world that constantly encourages us to scrutinize our appearance, I want my treatment room to be a place where the focus shifts from fixing to caring.

I don’t want clients wondering how they compare to a photo taken an hour earlier. I want them to notice how they feel in their own skin.

After more than 25 years of working with faces, I’ve learned that true beauty isn’t found in a dramatic before-and-after. It’s found in the subtle changes that happen when someone feels rested, supported, and well cared for.

Those transformations are real.

They just don’t always fit neatly into a side-by-side image.
